counterphobia: Searching for what is feared; preferring that which one is afraid of or seeking fearful situations.
Probably the basic component of the pleasure derived from counterphobia is the gratification that the person takes in the fact that indulging in the particular pleasure is now possible without anxiety.

cymophobia, kymophobia: An abnormal fear of sea swells, or waves which is related to a strong apprehension of motion, a terror of water, or a dread of landscapes in which water and leaves are prominent.
cynomania: An intense enthusiasm or obsession for dogs.
cynophobia, kynophobia: An excessive fear or intense dread of dogs or of rabies.
Some people see dogs as fearsome, unpleasant, and dangerous when walking by them on a sidewalk or pathway. Some dogs intensify this fear by barking or lunging at strangers who may walk near them when they are taken out for a walk by their owners.
Cynophobia is considered a morbid mental state, usually hysterical in character, sometimes precipitated by the attack and bite of a dog.

cypriphobia, cypridophobia: An abnormal or intensive fear of participating in sexual activities or of getting a venereal disease. From a Greek element kypris, a reference to Aphrodite, the goddess of love.
